We understand this is a trying time with a lot of uncertainty about the future. As a provider of essential plumbing services, we are keeping up to date with the latest COVID-19 developments. Further, we will endeavour to keep you informed of any advice we receive from the Master Plumbers & Gasfitters Association in relation to accessing essential plumbing services and recommended health and safety practices in response to COVID-19.
Right now our top priority is to not only keep our employees healthy and safe but to also ensure we keep our customers and the wider community safe. We are therefore following the advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Master Plumbers & Gasfitters Association in relation to action and procedures that should be followed.
When a customer requests The Plumbing Life Saver to attend their premises, we will ask the following questions:
Have you travelled to Coronavirus affected regions or countries that are deemed to be high-risk by either the Australian or New Zealand Government?
Have you travelled overseas or inter-state (within the last 14 days)?
Are you sharing a residence or been in contact with someone who has travelled overseas or interstate (within the last 14 days)?
If a customer responds no to the above questions and The Plumbing Life Saver are maintaining / replacing a toilet or other sanitary fixtures, The Plumbing Life Saver will still wear the following.
Eye protection;
N-95 respirator mask; and
Industrial gloves.
If they have answered yes to any of these question’s the Master Plumbers & Gasfitters Association recommends the highest level of protection is used and so The Plumbing Life Saver will utilise the following personal protective equipment.
Protective overalls;
Eye protection;
N-95 respirator mask;
Industrial gloves; and
Boot covers.
After leaving the premises, the suit, mask, gloves and boot covers will be placed in a sealed plastic bag and discarded in a sealed bin.
Further all employees are currently wiping down all surfaces with antibacterial wipes and/or spraying surfaces with Glen-20. Additionally, we have sadly implemented a no handshake policy. We are sorry to have to do this, but we are trying our best to do our part to help ‘flatten the curve’ and minimise the spread of this virus.
If you are at all concerned with any of The Plumbing Life Savers health and safety precautionary measures – please do not hesitate to contact us on 0448669938
